What type of files can I send to Far Better Printing?

1. Where do I send my files?

You can upload your job using this form: Upload Files or emailing to artwork@farbetterprinting.com You can also deliver your files to us on any type of disk such as CD or USB drive.

2. What type of files can I send to Far Better Printing?

To ensure a quick turnaround time and no extra setup fee, you must provide a high-quality PDF file for us to use. You can create your document in any application and then convert the file. If you choose to send another file type additional fees will apply.

3. What color mode should my files be in?

You should always save your artwork in CMYK mode. If you send us an RGB file, there is a chance that a color shift may occur and you may not be satisfied with your job. If you are ordering 2-color printing, your file MUST retain Spot Color settings for us to make separate plates.

4. What resolution should my file be?

We accept 300 DPI files, and no less. Low resolution orders will be placed on hold until we receive new files, slowing your turnaround time.

5. How should I set up my bleed and crop marks?

If your artwork extends to the edge of your design make sure you include a 1/8 in. bleed with crop marks so we will know where to cut your job. If you don’t take this step, the edges of your artwork will not be cut clean. See illustration below.

6. How can I make sure my text wont be cut off?

Do not put text against the edge of your layout. It WILL be cut into. Keep all important text AT LEAST 1/8” off the edge of the design. This is the “safety zone.” See illustration below.
